He loves me, He loves me not…

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:37-39

As a kid I have sat there plucking the pedals off a flower one by one, he loves me, he loves me not.  There have been many days where I have felt this way about my Heavenly Father’s love for me.  One day I’m sure He loves me and the next day thinking He loves me not. Romans 8, reminds us nothing can separate us from His love.  So pluck the last pedal and take it with you today and forever, He loves you.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You.  You do love us and nothing can separate us from that love.  Father I pray we receive this today.  I pray we take this last pedal, Your love and keep it with us today and forever.   In Jesus Name, Amen.

…While House Cleaning

Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:40-42

I’m sure we all know the story.

But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary.  Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:40-42

I have learned there is no better time with Jesus than in quiet and more still, just being in His Presence.  I encourage each one of you to make this time with Him.  Let’s face it we all have busy schedules and chores to get done.  As a wife who needs time with her husband, a mom whose children need her time and I need theirs, dinner to prepare, laundry, and of course a house to clean.  So having the role of Martha, I was struggling to find my good portion time.  I was looking around that house that needed cleaning and had to get done, but did much rather desire time at His feet.   Since I couldn’t avoid house cleaning at the moment, I invited Jesus to come clean with me.    Going from room to room I asked His Spirit to dwell there and prayed accordingly.  As I finished each room had its own theme.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for wanting us to spend our time with You.  I pray first we would always seek and make time for the good portion, which You will not take away.  I pray also, when the work needs to get done that too would be time spent with You.  Come, Holy Spirit, dwell with us and in our homes.  Make it a place where love is shown, where memories are shared, and when visitors come they would know You live here.  In Jesus Name, Amen.

A Purpose and A Destination

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said,…  Matt 4:19

Well it’s finally arrived.  I’ve been thinking of starting an official blog for quite some time now.  What to name the blog was a struggle, although I knew it would include a journey somehow.  Than the thought, what kind of journey, a journey of faith, the journey: step by step, or my journey with Jesus.  Some other thoughts and concerns like what will I post or will I post frequently.  Anyway, I was sensing God leading me to do this and delayed way long enough.  So it has begun and I’ll trust Him for the rest.

Walking the Journey: With a Purpose

Most of my journey resembled aimless wandering.  However, the past couple of years I’ve realized it lacked a starting point and a destination.  The journey has now become an intentional walk with a main purpose – to follow Jesus, to seek Him for life, and relationship.  Becoming like Him, to see His Kingdom come on earth, and the final destination – eternity.

How's your journey?  Are you on the journey with Jesus?   What's your destination?

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You that You have invited us to come and follow you.  I pray we intentionally walk our journey to follow You.  Lord I pray we wouldn’t aimlessly wander but seek you with purpose.  I pray we follow you when the times are good and when the times get rough.  Let us fix our eyes on You and the destination You have for us.  Make us fishers of men to help further Your Kingdom here on earth.  In His Name, Amen.
