Verse:
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, I came that they may
have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10, ESV).
Personal Thought:
Wow, it’s been 2 years since I’ve blogged anything. As the New Year approaches it's time again to
consider what new resolutions I will be setting for this year. Starting up my blog again was one of
them. Along with many others that I
repeat year after year, diet, exercise, better time management, and of course a
yearly Bible reading plan. So often our
resolutions stem from areas of our life that we want to change. Out with the old habits and creating new ones
that will be more profitable, healthier, or better disciplined. The desire to live life more abundantly or as
the CJB version says, life in its fullest measure. Isn’t that we all desire? Life in the fullest measure! And it is the very reason why Jesus came to
give life and have it abundantly.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the life you
have given us. Thank you for eternal
life in Jesus our Lord and Savior. And as
if that wasn’t enough, You came so we could have life in the fullest
measure! I pray Lord as this New Year
approaches we would seek more of You, I pray we would seek the abundant life
You came to give. Would you lead us to
live in the full potential you came to give us.
